  1. Hey Lori!

What did you do for food/drinks/tent etc to save costs? We are trying to fit everything for our wedding under 7k-10k. Any more tips?

    Please let me know!

    1. Melissa,

Obviously the easiest way to keep a wedding under budget is to cut the guest list to the bare minimum! Sometimes even the bare minimum is still over 100+ guests though...so you have to find other ways to make your buck have more bang! I really cut costs on food and decor...opting to use a local BBQ joint (Shane's Rib Shack) to cater (at $7 a head instead of $15!) and choosing to keep flower arrangements to almost nill (people with pollen allergies will appreciate you for that!). You have to figure out where you want to spend your money - a DJ? A nice caterer? The PERFECT designer wedding dress? and really stick to that budjet! My wedding for 100+ guests did come in well under 10K but I did a lot (probably too much) myself and not everything I did was worth the money I saved...in short, the best way to save money is to elope and then throw a low-key party later with friends and family!! :)
Weddings are SO exciting! Congratulations on yours and good luck with everything...and thanks for stopping by my tiny blog and saying hey! I'll be posting some more DIY wedding stuff over the next couple of weeks that hopefully will help you out! I'm happy to share anything I have/know with you so just ask!

  2. Thank you for your reply! I have way too many questions! Haha, do you have an email address? All of my girlfriends had such expensive weddings so I can never get great advice!
